December 2009

Dear Contemporary Communication Friends,

I want to begin this letter by saying "this is an incredible time and season to be alive"! There is no other time during the course of the year where people are more open to hear about the light and the love of Jesus. For many, this is a time of uncertainty; but Christ came to bring hope and life to uncertain people. What a privilege we have to share the joy and hope of this season. We can also take every opportunity to invite people to special experiences where they can hear about the Christ of Christmas. With that, let me invite you to The River's Christmas Experience called Joy Ride. To make it convenient for you to attend, we have five Experiences. They are all listed on the flyer that I have included with this letter. Please join us if you are in the area. If you can attend, bring somebody with you. You will experience the joy of Christ in a special way.

I just had the privilege of speaking at a Catholic high school in Flint. I encouraged the 600+ students to be the best they can be by using Jesus Christ as their guide and their strength, living their life with His life.

This month, I also have several appointments to engage locally with ministries, helping them to become all that God has called them to be.

Leading and teaching a Bible study with 8 - 12 men is an enriching experience. Together we are studying the Book of Colossians. What a study and what a group of guys!

It is exciting. I know that there are a lot of individuals uncertain about their job status and other things that may be going on in there lives; but this we know - God will supply all of our needs! It is with that in mind that I ask if you could give a special gift to Contemporary Communication this season. This would help us to continue to reach out to students, adults and families to let them know that God will always take care of them. I am enclosing an envelope for your special gift.

On a final note, take every opportunity that God gives you - and He will give you many - to share from your heart the truth of Christmas, and forget the urge to be politically correct.

Merry Christmas, not Happy Hoidays!
