Terry Prisk's Monthly Newsletter
January 2012
Dear Partner in Ministry,
I can honestly say that I have never been more purposeful in getting up every day and living the life that God has given me to live. There is a different urgency and bounce to my step. Every day I get up, desiring in the latter third of my life to accomplish more than I did in the first two-thirds of this life,to expand the Kingdom of God.
I am learning, at a different level, from the promptings of God, reading His Word and being influenced by Godly people that each of us has the opportunity to impact and influence others. The question is, to what degree and what are we impacting and influencing them with. The greatest life of influence and impact is to let people see, experience, touch and taste Christ.
Christmas at The River on 59, The River Community Church, was unprecedented...record attendance...and the residual since that time has been humbling and exhilirating! I am sensing that people want to be led, spoken to honestly and frankly. Young and old alike, I know that the claims of society are shallow and false; the promises and principles of God's Word are timeless and put life into living.
Just this week, I was with a group of students who are preparing to go to Guatemala to be the hands and feet of Jesus during Easter break. Young people who, rather than going on an Easter break for sun, sex and personal satisfaction, are saying that they want to live out Jesus in a foreign land, building houses, putting stoves with proper ventilation in houses, and sharing the life and love of Christ. These students are an inspiration to me. Students like this are influencing and impacting!
This month I will be speaking on Sundays, involved in a wedding, speaking for other ministries and helping The River on 59 navigate into one of the biggest opportunities in its history...building the first phase of a multi-phase campus on M-59, on the 74 acres that we own. My prayer is that my life will impact more people every day with the life-changing message of Christ. You make it possible with your prayers and financial giving.
Thank you! I look forward to communicating with you next month.
