Terry Prisk's Monthly Newsletter
February 2010
Dear Ministry Partners and Friends,
I want to start with this question: Isn't every day a great opportunity to live, breathe and look for ministry opportunities? It is still exciting to get up and know that God has a purpose for me, and for you, each and every day. If you could not answer that first question with enthusiasm, recalibrate and spend some time with God. Make that your personal mission statement and I have no doubt that you will anticipate the Spirit's leading in a new and refreshed way.
In light of everything that I said, I want to share this. I don't think that I have ever seen a time with greater need, more hurts and people questioning the validity of Christ and His claims. This is a great opportunity to get involved with people - young and old alike, close to God/far from God - and experience the reality that God is more alive, more real than ever before. I have been spending a lot of time with people in different situations via e-mail connections, where individuals are asking real questions for real life issues. A simplistic answer would be trite, uniformed and not the real deal. So we go back and forth; talking about life, but always bringing in a Christian perspective so people can see that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Jeanette and I are, on a regular basis, having individuals over to our home. During these receptions, we are hearing how God is working in people's lives.
On February 26 - 28, I will be at Spring Hill Camp speaking for a Junior High/Middle School retreat. I am privileged to be part of this effective life-changing ministry. February 21, we are bringing in one of the senior editors of the Life Application Bible, Bruce Barton and his wife, Mitze, to study the Bible, to use the Life Application Bible in a life-transformational way.
We are always looking at how to be more effective and efficient in our ministery. We are giving strong consideration to sending our monthly letters via e-mail versus snail-mail. Let me know what you think of this idea.
Your continued support is needed and so appreciated! I look forward to sharing with you more ministry highlights next month. Have a great month living out the purpose that God has given you.
Your friend in Christ,
Terry Prisk
